What do you think? Since I live in the South, I have to offer more crafty than artsy items to sell enough at festivals to make it all worth it, and so I come up with these ideas that I think are super brilliant, but sometimes wonder "is it just me?" I made them with scraps of dyed linen overlayed with vintage lace pieces left over from my artworks. I think they are adorable, but I also have a soft spot for lace. If there is lace on it, I will look twice, no matter what it is. I got the idea from this etsy jewelry artist, whom I have spent many days ogling her vintage lace necklaces and wishing I could splurge on myself. Any lace lovers out there? It was totally the "in" thing last season, I think the world has moved on to geometric shapes in clothing and jewelry design in the present though. How people keep up with changing trends, I couldnt say. Large expendable income I suppose, or a deep love for accessorizing. I am still stuck on lace. Any thoughts about these are welcome, I could use some perspective, other than my obliging husband's "its nice hun." Anyway, I do promise that Saturday coloring book pages will return very soon. It's just a bit hectic around here right now. Hope you have a wonderful Saturday!
XO, HARMONY

ReplyDeleteLOVE these! I really like the blue one.
ReplyDeleteLOVE lace - I always stop for lace too!! These are adorable!!
ReplyDeleteI really do like these.... I think they are like heaven. xo
ReplyDeleteI really like these. I'm fond of lace too (to a certain extent).
ReplyDeleteMy faves are the red and blue ones. The red has a perfect pattern for covering the whole pendant. The lace is sheer and open, making the background peek through well. The flower on the blue pendant is more dense so I like that there is no more lace surrounding it as it makes the flower pop against the background. The flowers are all off centre which looks so good compared to placing them slap-bang in the middle.
These are lovely, and each appeals to me in a different way. The blue is "lighter" and inspires me to put a spring in my step. The darker colors are elegant. They are all gorgeous! Of course, I am a girl from the deep, deep, deep south! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on this, I love lace in any season. These pendants are a great idea, and I might try something similar with my tatting. The solid color backgrounds are a great way to offset the lace and make it really pop.
ReplyDeleteI like the necklaces! They are simple, but elegant, and I love the colors. I would totally buy one.
